my D2h blew another shutter , this time at 193k exposures . not bad , as we speak its being fixed in Vienna. Im currently using an NPS loaned D2Hs , but thats a story for another post .

While i was in Mainz , i noticed there were a lot of used Nikon F4 around, so i looked up ebay , and presto found and got one F4s . The price was a steal at 251 euro . From what ive seen its quite preserved . The guy even supplied free new batteries !

now im a proud owner of a Nikon Flagship model from 1989 . Yeah Baby .

Say hello to a new category .

First link is for a little photography DIY . Great stuff , especialy the do it yourself tilt and shift lens and the macro softbox (smthing for my dad to do , he does have my old sb80 now so no real excuses for not using it )

and the second to the excellent Trade Secrets feature on Sportshooter.com portraying Craig Mitchelldyer’s PR shoot with Intel . Really inspirational stuff !

Trade Secrets: This is NOT Photoshop, this is real

Nikon D1 and D2 series users now have an option for an 1.5x eyepiece magnifyer called DK-17M . According to the forums it works really well and ive decided to get one(50 euro from vienna aint that bad , and if it works like people say then its a really cheap way of getting a FF like viewfinder) . Shame there isnt one for the d100 , since my dads eyesight is getting worse , and the viewfinder of the d100 is tiny anyway, maybe the adaptor would work (to be researched)…
